Hot sunny day

Met up with LA and py for lunch, wanted to catch a movie after that but sadly none fits into our schedule :(

So LA and me headed down to Oblong at Serangoon Gardens for some chill time. The place was certainly most befitting for a hot sunny day: spacious, modern, quiet and aircons. 

I ordered the Red Velvet waffles combo for $10 while LA ordered normal waffles with ice cream.

The red velvet waffles combined with cream cheese inside were really delicious, and being a matcha lover, I just had to order the matcha latte which was pleasantly soothing as well. Do have a light lunch before eating the waffles since it's really filling! I couldn't finish all of it :(

Afterwards, we rushed back to school for house showcase but we took the loop bus and we were really late. Such an unlucky day for LA and me. No choice, had to cab down and luckily we caught 2 houses' performance. Stayed on for some mass dance performance and explored around the school. Definitely missing studying in YJ and the company of my good friends :( All the nolstagia hit us when we walked around, reminiscing what used to be. 

Had a good two days off and now it's back to work time. Back to reality. Damn so depressing. Nonetheless, I'm really looking forward to this Saturday and next week's Taiwan trip! Yay :)

Happy birthday to me!

Such an awesome day today thanks to my loveliest friends <3 Many many hugs and kisses for them, really really appreciate all their efforts, time and finance to make this day so great.
One funny thing is that I realised I started my birthday with a bath and ended it with a bath well. Okay maybe not that funny afterall? haha.

Anyway, woke up early for macs breakfast then slacked at home till around 2+? Then ju and me proceeded to Lola's Cafe at Kovan to meet up with the rest, anyway I had no idea what were we thinking when we decided to order an Eggs' ben when we just had heavy macs breakfast around 2 hours ago hahaha but it was all worth it cause the eggs' ben tasted fantastic :) Took some artistic(?) shots as ju suddenly had the inspiration to, haha does it look hipster enough? #hipster joke

Headed over to Ice Edge Cafe which was nearby and we had desserts while ju went off to meet her colleague for some work thing(apparently this was a lie which she made up to prepare for my surprise). Really loved the creme brulee at Ice Edge and I recommend you'll to try it as well.

Went to Kovan to wait for bus, but py said that she had to go to the toilet and popular(which was a lie too) so we delayed before going to my house. Ended up when we reached nearby my house, I was wondering where my other two friends were, they said they were coming soon(which was a lie too) so asked us to go up my house first. Arrived at my house, welcomed by my beautiful birthday cake baked by My Sister Bakes and lovely birthday song from shu and my parents, which was pretty awkward but a funny and warming scene to witness. I felt kind of bad cause I was really worn out from the heavy eating so I didn't had much reaction, or even appeared pretty irritated. To add to that, my freaking polaroid couldn't work at the critical time! Imagine me being all soul-less looking over there oh man. Furthermore, my friends paid for ALL my expenses today?!

Somehow they all kept urging me to go inside the room so I was wondering what's up with my room. Totally not expecting anything, I entered the room to my surprise, there were pretty balloons everywhere with a "Happy 19th Birthday Joey" plastered on the wall. It was such a great sight to behold, the first time I've had this kind of surprise and it was so thoughtful of them to do that :) Started some mini "photoshoot", which they had me posing everywhere with different kind of poses and angles, they even tried to gave "lighting" those kind of stuffs which were super funny!

After which, the 4 of us headed over to Dhoby Ghaut in hopes of getting into St.Games with the remaining little time we had, but the first thing we saw were Playnation so we decided to try it out! It was really fun, playing guitar hero and dancing crazily to Just Dance 4. So yeah that's roughly what happened for the whole of today!

Thanks everyone for the wishes! To repeat this again, greatest thanks to my awesome friends which made my birthday such a great one :)

P.S. pretty wordy and long post since I had the time to use my computer to type this hehe

CHINESE NEW YEAR

Happy CNY all! :)

Haven't updated this space in a long while since I've been spending most of my time working.. Work's stressful but my colleagues make work so much better, they're an awesome gang to hang out with! 

Anyway, how's CNY so far? I'm starting work again tomorrow so this is the only chance I'll get to post pictures and all.. 

1st (初一）;

Spent practically the whole day going on house-visitings, and had some time to bond more with my distant cousins(?) which I only see once a year. Not bad I'll say, considering the amount of angbaos too hehe

2nd (初二）；

Spent the morning-afternoon doing house-visitings, then went over to Singapore Yacht Club. Great scenery, great company, nice pictures. A pity most of my pictures aren't very clear or it's in my cousins' camera so I'll only post these for now :) 

Really tired now as I'm on the way home and typing this haha, bye all have a great time for the remaining few days of CNY!
